The Stanford Summer Classic Division 1 tournament is a three day tournament with semifinals in all Divisions. All teams are guaranteed three games, semi-finals will be played on Sunday mid-day with championship matches on Sunday afternoon. Games on Friday will be optional. Due to requests, specific teams will play on Saturday and Sunday only. Semifinals Winners + Wildcard into Semis - Pairing 1vWC, 2v3(swap if they met in flight) 2nd vs. 2nd with winner meeting 3rd place in flight that produced the WC A non-semifinalist team gets 4 games. Semifinals: Semi A - Highest Overall points vs. 4th Highest overall points Semi B - 2nd Highest overall points vs. 3rd Highest overall points Final Championship Game - Semifinal A Winner vs. Semifinal B Winner Consolation Game- Semifinal A Loser vs. Semifinal B Loser 10-Team Division Bracketing – Three Brackets – One bracket of 4 teams(A) and 2 brackets of 3 teams(B and C) Preliminary games Bracket A – Round Robin play for a total of 3 games each All teams in Bracket B play against all teams in Bracket C for 3 games each. Semifinals Semi A – Highest overall points vs. 4th Highest overall points Semi B – 2nd Highest overall points vs. 3rd Highest overall points Pairing exception – If any Semifinal matches up teams that played in the Preliminaries, the lowest overall points teams are swapped Final Championship Game – Semifinal A Winner vs. Semifinal B Winner ****************************************************************************************************************************************** AWARDS 1st and 2nd place teams (Finalists) receive individual medals and team trophy 3rd and 4th place teams receive individual medals Formats 8v8 Teams may register a maximum of sixteen (16) players. A team may use up to seven (7) guest players but is still limited to the sixteen player roster size. Only 14 players are allowed to dress for each game. 11v11 Teams may register a maximum of twenty six (26) players. A team may use up to seven (7) guest players but is still limited to the twenty six player roster size. Only 18 players are allowed to dress for each game. Rules of Play FIFA Laws of the Game will apply. Check-in There will be no Friday night check-in. Teams will check-in one hour before their first game of the tournament at the field where they are scheduled to play.
