3rd Annual Spring Cup College Showcase

  Welcome to the 3rd Annual AHFC Spring Cup Girls Showcase.   We are looking forward to another year of great soccer with teams from across Texas, surrounding areas and states.  As always, our aim  is to create a first class experience for players, clubs, college coaches, and parents. All games will be played at Katy Park in West Houston over the weekend of February 4th & 5th, 2012. The Spring College Showcase is specifically designed to highlight all girls by providing them valuable exposure to college coaches from universities and colleges throughout the United States. Colleges and universities from NCAA Division 1, 2 and 3 schools have committed to attend with the list increasing daily. Texas A&M University, Texas Tech University, University of Texas - Austin, Southern Methodist University, Baylor University, Rice University, University of Oklahoma and University of Houston are just a few schools that have been in attendance in previous years.   All showcase games will be played at one (1) venue to enable maximum exposure and convenience for the players, college and club coaches. As with the Spring Cup, the event is equipped to accommodate the attending teams and clubs by incorporating open rosters and flexible scheduling to address conflicts. This will ensure maximum college coach exposure. AHFC SPRING COLLEGE SHOWCASE, U15 – U19 GIRLS   Again, please let me stress our sincere apologize on the weather stricken event this past weekend. Post weather forecasts have indicated that over 4.5" of rain fell over the Katy area on Friday and Saturday alone. Hopefully next year, we will have better cooperation from Mother Nature!   I totally understand the need for refunds and please understand that we are working diligently to re-issue those refunds. We are currently awaiting the final accounting update before we can start to issue the refunds. Our intension at this point is to reimburse each team between 75-85% of the total fee paid. This is due to administrative costs that are incurred pre-tournament and to help cover over heads to help set up the event. We are totally aware that this is a delicate matter and we will be re-issuing the refunds over the next 2 weeks, once we have settled on the percentage of return. I will send out further updates as they come around. Again, I thank you in advance for your patience on the matter and we hope to see you at future AHFC events.
