U14-U18 Cal North Presidents Cup

Cal North U14-U18 Presidents Cup offers competition in the U-14 through U18 age groups and is the state-level qualifier for the US Youth Soccer Presidents Cup series. Modeled after the Cal North State Cup Program and US Youth Soccer National Championship Series, Presidents Cup is an exciting level of competition added to the Cal North cup series to assure competitive events are available for all levels of play. The Presidents Cup was created primarily to serve the second-tier Competitive teams. Any Cal North member team that competed in a playing league for Gold level or below and/or was not a State Cup quarter-finalist in the 2011/2012 season can apply to participate in Presidents Cup. Competition begins with a weekend of preliminary round games. The preliminary round games for U14-U18 will be held on April 6-7 for the girls’ teams and on April 20-21 for the boys’ teams. Advancing teams will continue to play single elimination round competition over the course of subsequent weekends after the conclusion of preliminary round play. Presidents Cup culminates with the Cal North Presidents Cup Championships where the state champions are honored with team recognitions and individual awards. Cal North age groups champions and selected wild card teams have the opportunity to advance to Regional Presidents Cup Competition in the age groups where US Youth Soccer and Region IV offer competition. The Cal North Presidents Cup preliminary round games may be scheduled at various venues throughout Northern California. Venues will be determined in late March 2013. The entry fee is $625. Applications completed after the deadline are subject the the Reserve Pool entry fee of $725.
