Cassy Rowe Benefit Tournament 2014

Sierra Soccer Club 2014 Cassy Rowe Benefit Tournament  It is with great pleasure that Sierra Soccer Club sponsors and hosts the annual Cassy Rowe Benefit Tournament. This tournament is open to all competitive teams, with the exception of gold.  All proceeds benefit Cassy Rowe.  History of Cassy Rowe: August of 2008, 16-year-old Cassy Rowe was an avid soccer player for the Sierra Soccer Extreme.  During tournament play, Cassy suffered a debilitating spinal injury, which rendered her a quadriplegic.  Thanks to quick-thinking and the assistance of coaches and an emergency response team, Cassy is alive today.  In honor of Cassy Rowe, the annual Benefit Tournament kicked off January 2009.   Cassy's message is clear, "Never give up!"  She is instantly likable, and just like on the soccer field, she can guide and control with extraordinary tact.   Above all, she is resilient and appreciative.  Wonderful qualities that we can all learn from.  She is a role model.  Her message has been heard in the hearts of all of us.  Her goal is simple.  She hopes to inspire others with similar injuries and let them know that life does go on.
