2017 IMG Cup - Boys Invitational

Welcome to the IMG Cup - Boy's Invitational Tournament, an International tournament hosted for boys elite soccer teams. Located at the IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida, the IMG Cup will provide the very best  field and facility services available for players, coaches, and parents in the United States. Competition will be premium and based at the world's best multi-sport campus. Each team will experience our professional environment that has developed professionals in many sports. Format: This three-day, round-robin tournament offering U13-U19 teams, three-games as well as a super group division. The event begins on Friday evening with team registration. Game play begins on Saturday and ends Monday. All teams will be scheduled to play 1 game a day including Monday.   Trophy Presentations will follow the final game on Monday to the top team in each flight. IMG Cup group champions will be determined by points accumulation in Group play and will not feature any playoff games.   SHAPE  \* MERGEFORMAT Schedule of Events and Important Dates: September 15: Applications Due October 1: Initial Acceptances sent out November 28: Online check in Documents must be uploaded in Gotsoccer December 5 : Final Day to Purchase Parking Passes online December 6 : Parking Passes Mailed out December 14 : Super Group Play begins December 15: Team Check in -  All teams are mandated to check in unless they have elected online check in December 16: Day 1 of Competition December 17: Day 2 of Competition December 18: Day 3 of Competition -  Trophy presentation to be concluded at the end of each pool * All Scheduling request must be received upon submission of application.  Age Divisions: U13 Boys U14 Boys U15 Boys U16 Boys  U17 Boys  U18 Boys U19 Boys Super Group Division  Application Entry Fee and Deadline: 2017 entry fee is $1200 for U15 - U19 Teams and $800 for the U13 - U14 Age Groups. Tournament entry fee must be submitted along with the application. All team applications will not be reviewed or accepted unless the payment has been submitted. A team not initially accepted at first will be added to the waiting list and will not be charged until they have finally been accepted. It is the responsibility of the team manager or coach to withdraw the team application.  Entry fees are non-refundable once a team has been accepted and must be paid by mailing a check to Greg Abdallah or credit card via GotSoccer.  In the event a team must withdraw from the tournament, you must notify the IMG Cup Tournament Board in writing at least 30 days prior to the tournament date, and you will be allowed to transfer your entry fee to a future IMG Academy soccer program event. The deadline for entry is September 15, 2017. The IMG Cup Tournament Board will review all applications and notify the team of its status as soon as possible. All applications submitted after the deadline will be added to the waiting list. Team applications must be submitted through GotSoccer.com as teams will earn GotSoccer points and rankings for attending IMG Cup.  Stay to Play Requirement:  The 2017 IMG Cup is a "stay-and-play" tournament. Every team participating must either stay on IMG Academies Campus or book through our travel agency, HBC.  All teams will be required to fill out the housing survey to indicate their accommodations and secure their spot in the tournament.  A convenient way to meet your housing requirements is to stay in our On-Campus Housing, please see below.  On Campus Housing: IMG Academy offers convenient housing onsite that is great for teams and families.  Housing includes full kitchen, laundry room, free parking, Wifi, cable TV, lines, pillows, towels, soap, shampoo and conditioner.   For special rates and availability, please email teamtraining@img.com or call 1-800-872-6425. Hotels IMG Cup is a "stay-and-play" tournament. Every team participating must book through our travel agency, HBC Travel. They have a convenient booking link organized at our tournament website. All teams will be required to fill out the following  housing survey to indicate their accommodations and secure their spot in the tournament.   College Coaches College coaches from around the United States and professional scouts consider IMG Academy soccer program as a premier academy to develop and host soccer programs. IMG Cup will offer the very best competition and the opportunity for coaches and scouts to view talented players from around the world. A list of college coaches in attendance for the 2017 IMG Cup will be posted here at a later date. Required Documents and Check in Information Each team must ensure their rosters are up to date in Gotsoccer.com. These Rosters will be used to create game reports and college profile books. To ensure your team's players get exposure to college coaches, please ensure all additional information is added to you roster on Gotsoccer.com. This information will be used to create college coach recruiting packets which will be distributed on site. Every player and coach from your team must complete a IMG Academy waiver prior to participating at the IMG Cup. Click here for a PDF version of that waiver. The team manager must bring all copies to the on-site registration. Team check-in is mandatory for all teams and will take place on Friday, December 15th or complete online check-in. Only one team representative has to be present for onsite check-in. He/she must bring the following items for all team members:  Teams must provide a certified state-approved tournament roster from the team's State Organization along with four additional copies (five total).  Player identification cards with photo-attached must be verified and laminated.  (If your association does not allow lamination, cards must be encased in plastic sleeves.) Player cards must be presented to officials before every game.  GotSoccer.com rosters will not be accepted at check-in, but must mirror your state's approved roster. One roster will be turned in at registration while the other four will be stamped at check-in and turned in at the beginning of your three matches. The names on the roster must match the names on the player cards, waivers and medical release forms.  Every player and coach from your team must submit both pages of the IMG Academy waiver prior to participating. All teams will be required to fill out the following housing survey to indicate their accommodations and secure their spot in the tournament.  Out-of-state teams must obtain a permission to travel form and must present it at check-in.  Our tournament is sanctioned by U.S. Club  Please come prepared with all necessary information and forms organized in alphabetical order to ensure a quick and easy check-in process. Foreign teams must have a completed form from its provincial or national association approving the team's participation in the tournament as well as proof of medical insurance Parking Information All vehicles including coaches are required to purchase a parking pass: Parking will be charged at $5 a day or $15 for an All tournament pass. PLEASE NOTE ONLY CASH WILL BE ACCEPTED ON SITE. Parking passes can be purchased in advance with a credit card through our store at gotsoccer and will be mailed prior to the event. All advance purchases must be made no later than Friday, December 1st. They will also be available for purchase at tournament registration on Friday December 15.  To avoid long waiting times for parking, teams are highly encouraged to pre-purchase parking passes and will not be allowed to drop off players at the fields prior to parking. If you need any assistance please feel free to email gregory.abdallah@img.com  To register as a guest player click here Goalkeeping Showcase Please join us for the chance to showcase your specialized skills through a technical training program lead by IMG Academy Director of Goalkeeping, Peter Mellor and Assistant Director of Goalkeeping, Matt Brown Details: Goalkeepers will have an opportunity to run through a series or training stations over the period of an hour that will allow college coaches to truly evaluate goalkeepers technical, physical and psychological ability in an individualized and focused environment. Our events provide a world-class venue to play in front of dozens of college coaches from the top programs in the United States, including the likes of Wake Forest, Penn State, UNC, Duke, Seton Hall, Furman, Davidson, NC State, University of South Florida, University of Tampa, Wisconsin and West Virginia.  The United States Soccer Association National youth team program will also be represented at the goalkeeping showcase.    Outline: Showcase sessions will run for 1 hour. We will offer 3 sessions with the times to be determined. There will be two sessions scheduled midday on Saturday and one midday on Sunday.
