Event COVID-19 Protocols (update 9/24/20) The event staff is here to support you and your team during this tournament.  We will be taking extra precautions to prevent the spread of Covid-19. We will implement the following best practices to promote personal safety during the event. Coaches and Team Managers: Please share this important information with your team’s parents and players. For more information and event updates, please reference our event website. If you have additional questions or concerns, please send an email to the Tournament Director lamcclint@gmail.com   EVENT PROCEDURES ●        No onsite check-in; All registration must be completed online- no exceptions. ●        No event headquarters- Event staff will be mobile in golf carts and available to assist. ●        Contact Free Communication: Team Manager and Coach will receive a dedicated event phone number to text or call any question or concern; HQ staff will meet manager or coach at specified location by field or area and adhere to social distancing. ●        Each event area (not one (1)) field will have a maximum of 500 people (event staff/ players/coaches/referees/spectators). ●        No tailgating in the complex’s parking lot. ●        No golf cart transportation will be available for rides except for injured players only. ●        All concessions and vendors will be cashless – credit card only. ●        All staff (including referees) will take a daily COVID-19 pre-check questionnaire, including daily temperature checks. ●        Awards: All awards will be given to the coach following the conclusion of each final game. ●        All National, State, local (including complex), and state sanctioning organization social distancing and PPE mandates for COVID-19 will be enforced.  ●        Anyone who becomes ill during the event is asked to leave immediately and report all occurrences to the Event Communication Line. TOURNAMENT PLAY ●        Coaches, players, and referees are to wear their own PPE while walking to the fields. ●        Players may remove masks while playing on the field. Referees may remove masks during the game. ●        Coaches must keep masks on at all times except in times of coaching more than 6 feet away from the players. ●        Teams (players and coaches) should not arrive at the fields until 25 minutes prior to the start of each match. ●        No player or referee bench will be available at the fields.  No tents will be allowed to be set up on either sideline, but individual player umbrellas are allowed. ●        Existing teams should clear the field promptly when the match ends. Do not congregate at the venue with your team. ●        Entering teams will wait for existing teams to COMPLETELY clear the technical area before approaching. ●        Hand contact between teams is prohibited (i.e. post-game handshakes, “high fives”, etc.). ●        Absolutely NO SPITTING on the field or sidelines. ●        The home team will provide a clean (sanitized) game ball to the referee. ●        No coin toss or captains meeting. Home team will decide which side to defend for all games. Visitors will start with the ball. ●        Coaches will hold on to the player passes throughout the game - do not exchange with the referee(s). ●        The event will not be providing hydration stations or nutrition (players, teams bring their own hydration - no sharing please) SPECTATORS ●        All individuals who are 65 and above or who have an underlying at-risk health condition are encouraged to stay home. ●        Spectators are to wear PPE to the spectator area and should bring their own sanitizer. ●        Spectators should not arrive at the fields until 5 minutes prior to the start of each match. Spectators are limited to the player’s immediate family members (parents and siblings). ●        Spectators must watch in the designated spectator area. No exceptions. Spectators must observe social distancing of 6ft in the spectator area and be behind the spectator line on the sideline. ●        No tents will be allowed to be set up on either sideline, individual spectator umbrellas are allowed. ●        Spectators CANNOT enter the team area for any reason. ●        Anyone who is sick or experiencing symptoms commonly associated with COVID -19 – STAY AT HOME. Failure to adhere to the policies and protocols may result in your team being disqualified from the event. By registering, attending, and entering event facilities, all participants, including, but not limited to, coaches, players, parents, spectators, event staff, vendors, partners, medical and training staff, facility staff, public safety, and administrators agree to follow all national, state, local, and event guidelines, and assume all responsibility of risk in attending the event . The coach and team manager for every accepted team will sign this tournament protocol agreement at the time of online check-in, acknowledging their understanding of this risk and agreeing to not hold St Francis Soccer Club or its staff, nor hold them responsible for any sickness or health condition that may result from attending the event.
