The Chargers Soccer Club will host a Winter Academy Showcase for U15, U16, U17 and U19 Academy teams, December 17-20, 2020 at the Premier Sports Campus in Lakewood Ranch, Florida. This event will be conducted under strict local Manatee Sports Commission Covid 19 protocol and guidelines. The Showcase event will bring together non MLS Next Academy Clubs from Florida, South and Mid-Atlantic/East regions to compete in a highly competitive environment with the opportunity to be seen by professional and college coaches. NCAA Division I coaches will still not be allowed to attend because of NCAA recruitment restrictions through January 1, 2021. The Chargers will be partnering with the Florida Soccer School IDX Showcase which will have NCAA DII, DIII, NAIA and JUCO coaches in attendance. The Winter Academy Showcase games and ID Showcase will play at different times to provide the coaches opportunities to attend both events. Please notify your college coach contacts and invite them to attend these events at the same Premier Sports Campus/Lakewood Ranch, FL location. The Winter Academy Showcase will have a similar format of the U.S. Soccer Winter Academy Showcases in the past, a four day event, and 3 games with one day of rest.
