Rush Wisconsin Octoberfest 2012

To all Octoberfest 2012 participants:   On behalf of the Rush Octoberfest Tournament Committee, the Board of Directors and the entire coaching staff, I would like to extend my heartfelt appreciation for your attendance at our tournament this year. While we have encountered difficult weather conditions before (snow, hail and bitting cold), we were never forced to suspend the event prematurely. I was overcome by the patience and generosity exhibited by players, parents and coaches who, in spite of difficult conditions, were in good spirits throughout and displayed extraordinary understanding when we finally made the decision to cancel all activities on Sunday.  I was excited to see so many hard fought games played on Friday and Saturday. While the competition was at times stiff, it was indeed exhilarating to see that it was not so rigid that virtues of honor and fair play were displaced. Parents, players and coaches all deserve a lot of credit for the character observed and celebrated over the shortened weekend.  We know there are ample choices in tournaments to attend in the region and we do not take for granted that you choose to attend the Rush Wisconsin Octoberfest Tournament. It is our singular goal to make this one of the premier tournament experiences in the Region and to that end we welcome your critical feedback. It is our hope that you will consider congregating at our tournament next year as we renew rivalries and friendships all at once. Stay Dry and Warm!
