Columbia-Windham Columbus Day

Since the inception of the tournament we have increased greatly in size and have attracted highly competitive teams from the Eastern United States and Canada. We normally host a total of 250 teams. We have been told that we have become one of the premier tournaments in this part of the country. Our goal continues to be a tournament that can accommodate teams of all levels of ability and we will continue to make great efforts to make our tournament compatible for all levels of teams. Games will be held in Columbia, Willimantic, Mansfield and Tolland, Connecticut. Premier teams at the U-13 and U-14 levels play on Saturday, Sunday and Monday. All other teams play only on Sunday and Monday) This year we will again be offering games for boys and girls in the U-9, U-10, U-11, U-12, U-13 and U-14 age groups. We will be accommodating teams of all levels. We will have Premier/Select Team Divisions, Competition/Travel Team Division and Recreation Team levels. Premier Division: We are accepting Premier teams in the U-11, U-12, U-13 and U-14 age groups. The U-13 and U-14 Premier age groups are guaranteed 5 games and will play on Saturday, Sunday and Monday and each team is guaranteed five games. (The tournament fee for the U-13 and U-14 Premier level is $425 per team) The U-11 and U-12 Premier age groups are guaranteed 3 games and will play on Sunday and Monday. The Premier U-11 and U-12 age groups will be placed in the Competition A division. The tournament fee for the U-11 and U-12 Premier level is $315. Competition/Travel Teams: Competition/Travel level club teams will have A and B level divisions in the U-11, U-12, U-13 and U-14 age groups and are guaranteed three games which will only be played on Sunday and Monday. There will be an 8v8 division for U11 Girls and U11 Boys. Recreation level: All U-10, U-12 and U-14 recreation games will be short-sided with the U-10 and U-12 being 7v7 and the U-14 being 6v6. We will not be offering full sided recreation play this year. Each U-12 and U-14 team will be guaranteed a minimum of three games with semifinal and/or championship games. All U-10 teams will be guaranteed 4 games (there are no semifinals or championship games for U-10 teams). We will do everything we can to place teams in divisions with a similar level of play but we reserve the right to place teams in competition levels other than what they registered for.
