Ostrich Festival 2011

This will be the 13th anniversary of the Ostrich Festival Tournament. The tournament is held each March to coincide with the city of Chandler's Ostrich Festival. While most other areas of the country are cold, wet and sometimes snowy at this time of year, we enjoy warm sunny weather ideal for outdoor sports. Teams in age groups U7 through U19 are invited to apply. Come and join in the fun as some of the best teams meet for a weekend of great soccer! Each team is guaranteed a minimum of three (3) games, with many playing four (4). Flights will be determined by the Tournament Committee and will be based upon team history and information supplied in the tournament application form. A maximum of five (5) loan players will be allowed. Requests for specific flights will be used to help in placement, but are not guaranteed. Games will be played at Snedigar Sportsplex in Chandler, Red Mountain Soccer Complex in Mesa, Quail Run in Mesa, and Reach 11 Sports Complex in Phoenix. Top teams in the U15-U19 age groups will play at the Reach 11 Sports Complex in Phoenix. Some U14 teams may be added to that location as well. U7 teams shall play 5v5, U8 teams shall play 7v7, U9-U11 teams shall play 8v8, and U12-U19 shall play 11v11. Teams will not be required to play Friday evening. During the application process, teams will be asked if they are available to play Friday evening. If the answer is "yes", the team may be scheduled to play that evening.
