Bolingbrook Labor Day Soccer Festival 2011

Bolingbrook Labor Day Soccer Festival 2011

Update  August 17 2011   Dear All interested teams, Once again this year we have filled up.  We are accepting teams to our wait list only at this time.   If you are a U8 Boys team we may have a spot left, however all others will be wait listed.  We thank you for considering our Tournament and hope you will consider our tournament next year.  Our registration opens up with early bird discounts in Mid April.  Thank you.       WELCOME TO 2011  BOLINGBROOK ANNUAL LABOR DAY SOCCER FESTIVAL     Our 2011 Soccer Festival is a great way to kick off the season.   In 2010 we had over 125 teams participate in the soccer festival.   Every team is assured 3 games.   The games start on Friday, usually with local teams playing, then a full schedule on Saturday and Sunday.  We hold Monday, Labor Day as a rain day in case of severe weather earlier in the tournament.  We hope you will join us and make our Soccer Festival a fun filled weekend with good competitive soccer.   The Chicago Fire and the Chicago Red Stars professional soccer team will be participating in our tournament event.  Having our professional mens and women's teams sending folks from their club make it a great way to get to meet professional athletes and provide great experiences for all players.     We have competitive play at every level, in some age groups we have an upper level and lower level to ensure good competition.  The point system for this tournament encourages playing time for all players, with 6 points for a win, 3 points for a tie, and 1 point for a 3 goal differential (instead of a shutout), as well as a point scored for each goal (up to 3).   This format encourages coaches and managers to play all their players if they get ahead of an opponent by more than 3 goals.   We view this tournament as a way for the players, coaches and parents to start the season with some good healthy competition.    The fields are located just north of I-55 off of Weber Road in Bolingbrook IL.   Last year we had teams from Illinois, Missouri, and Indiana participate.  There are a variety of local things to do close by, and the city of Chicago is 30-40 minutes from Bolingbrook.   We also have made arrangements with several hotel groups for a discounted rate for those traveling overnight for the tournament, click on the link below for more information   http://secure.cstt.com/Tournaments/HotelList_Results.php?eventid=5174     We offer multiple team discounts for clubs sending more than one team as well as returning team discounts.    For more information, including 2011 Tournament Rules, please visit the website at www.bolingbrooksoccerclub.org/new/     To book hotels please use our event partner CSTT  at http://secure.cstt.com/Tournaments/HotelList_Results.php?eventid=5174   Or for specific questions please email Scott Mueller at smueller@bolingbrooksoccerclub.org   ================================================= TEAM REGISTRATION UPDATE:  Please register early for the tournament.  In 2009 and 2010 we reached capacity by mid July. Thank you for considering the Labor Day Soccer Festival. =================================================
