2008 Avon Memorial Day Tournament

THE AVON SOCCER CLUB is pleased to announce its 20th annual Memorial Day Tournament. On behalf of our membership, we invite your club or association to apply for entrance to our year 2008 tournament. Girls and boys will play at separate sites. GENERAL This tournament is sanctioned by the CJSA. The age groupings for the tournament follow the CJSA rules. The following ages are included: Under 9 Under 10 Under 11 Under 12 Under 13 Under 14 Under 16 U9, U10 and U11 will play 8 V 8. U9 and U10 will be non-results oriented. WHERE Fisher Meadow, Avon, CT and Tunxis Mead, Farmington, CT WHAT Each participating team will play 5 games in a round robin format. Winners and runners-up will receive individual trophies, in age groups U11 - U16. Participation medals will be given for all players on U9 & U10 teams. All players will receive a souvenir patch from the tournament. Team patches will be exchanged after each game. Applications are invited from classic and qualifying premier teams that are duly registered with their State, Provincial or National Association. A team shall consist of a maximum of 20 players (18 for premier). Proof of age will be by US Youth player pass or State or National Association. Note: If required by your state or region, a permission to travel form will be required in order to participate.
