2013 San Ramon Fall Classic    Presented by Adidas From October 26 & 27 2013, San Ramon Soccer Club will host the Fall Classic for boys and girls U9 through U-15. The Fall Classic  is sanctioned by US Club Soccer. San Ramon is proud to expand the age groups of the tournament offering two days of play. Set in the rolling hills of the San Ramon Valley, The Fall Classic has earned a reputation as a tournament favorite for clubs looking for Bronze and Copper Level Soccer available in the Bay Area. The San Ramon Soccer Club (SRS), celebrating 40 years of soccer in Northern California, is headquartered in the city of San Ramon, serving the greater San Francisco Bay Area. The club has established itself as one of the most recognized soccer clubs in Northern California. It has been very successful in developing and attracting a large number of players and coaches seeking the most advantageous coaching, training, and playing environment available. This combined with a club philosophy that encourages all players to challenge themselves and enjoy the game regardless of division of play provides an ideal atmosphere for each player and coach to succeed at their chosen level of play. PREFERED HOTEL BOOKING: Hyatt House 2323 San Ramon Valley Blvd. San Ramon CA 94583 T: 925.743.1882 x2  F: 925.743.1784  HYATThouseSanramon.com                                                                       TOURNAMENT RULES   General This tournament is open to all boys’ & girls’ teams under 9 – 15 playing Bronze and Copper level from any US Club or USYSA National Affiliates. Qualifying applications will be accepted on a first-come first-serve basis. We will notify teams if they have been accepted by email. The Tournament Committee reserves the right to accept or reject any application. All decisions regarding acceptance or rejection are final.  Roster The roster limit is a maximum of Fourteen (14) for U9-U11 teams and Eighteen (18) players for U 12– 15 teams.  A maximum of five (5) loan players per team is allowed. All players must have a valid laminated Player Pass for the 2013-2014 season from their state or national association. Player passes from earlier seasons will not be accepted.  A valid 2012/2013 or 2013/2014 player application (medical form) is also required. Any player without both of these documents will not be allowed to play.     Tournament Check-In Coaches or Team Administrators must attend their assigned mandatory check-in on Friday, October 25th, 2013 from 6:00 - 9:00 pm at San Ramon Soccer Office, 2206 Camino Ramon, Suite E, San Ramon 94583.  All player application forms and valid player ID cards will be verified at check-in. Game cards including team rosters must be verified at this time. If a team is 45 minutes or more away they will be permitted to check in 1.5 hours before their first scheduled game at game field.    Game Check-In Teams must be at their assigned fields at least thirty (30) minutes before their scheduled game times for check-in. The Team Manager or Coach must check-in with the Field Marshal who will come to your field at this time to collect their game cards. The “No Shin Guard, No Play” rule will be strictly enforced. A player wearing an orthopedic cast or hard brace will not be allowed to play, no exceptions.  Also, baseball cleats (those that contain a toe cleat) will not be allowed.  Please refer to "fields" on the website. All players must have appropriate jerseys, with unique numbers prominently displayed on the backs. The player ID cards of all teams will be collected and verified. Home Teams The first team on the playing schedules is the designated home team. The two teams competing in a game will sit on separate sides of the field. The home team will choose the side they wish to sit on with all parents and spectators sitting with their team. The designated away team will have the privilege of calling the coin toss. If the referee determines there is a conflict in jersey colors of the two teams, the home team is required to change to another color jersey. Any team required to change to another jersey or refuses to sit on their assigned side that fails to provide the means to do so, will be in violation of the rules and forfeit for that game. Forfeits Any U9-U11 team that fails to have five (5) and U12 - U15 team that fails to have seven (7) eligible players on the field at the scheduled game time, in appropriate uniform. There will be no grace period. The tournament committee will credit a score of 1-to-0 (8 points) to the team that was present, ready to play. Game Cards The Team Manager shall SIGN the game card at the END of each game. Referees will enter goals scored, the half-time score, and the final score of the match on the game card before the card is signed. Referees will also record any misconduct (jersey #, first and last name of any player, coach or spectator ejected or cautioned), and return the cards to the Field Marshal. See Misconduct; Red and Yellow Cards  Rules of Play Games will be played according to FIFA Laws of the Game, except as modified by these Tournament Rules of Competition. Substitutions: ·     Before a throw-in ·     Before any goal-kick ·     Before a Kick-off ·     For an injured player ·     In addition, when the game is stopped for a caution, the cautioned player may be substituted.   Misconduct, Red & Yellow Cards Coaches are responsible for the conduct of their team (including coaches, players, and spectators) and may be cautioned or ejected for their misconduct. Any player or coach ejected will not be permitted to participate for the remainder of that game and their team’s next scheduled game. At the discretion of the tournament committee, ejected players/coaches may be suspended from participation for the remainder of the tournament. The Field Marshal shall immediately report all red cards to the Head Field Marshal and the Tournament Director. The Field Marshal must collect a completed “USYSA Referee’s Report” form from the referee for each red card issued. 1 point will be deducted for each red card issued to a team. Termination If the referee terminates the match due to weather, field conditions or misconduct, the Tournament Committee will decide the impact of this termination on the tournament standings. *It is recognized and understood upon entering the San Ramon Fall Classic Tournament that adverse weather is an Act of God. Further, entrance to this tournament requires acceptance of all decisions regarding use of facilities (therefore, potentially, the outcome of competition) by the Tournament Committee as final without objection, appeal or compensation whatsoever. There will be no rescheduling of games.  IN ADDITION, THERE WILL BE NO REFUND OF ENTRY FEES IF THE TOURNAMENT, OR PART OF THE TOURNAMENT, IS CANCELLED FOR INCLEMENT WEATHER EXCEPT AS SET FORTH BELOW IN THE REFUND POLICY.   Refund Policy You may request a refund up until team acceptances. No exceptions. If the Tournament is cancelled due to Inclement Weather Prior to the Start of Competition, teams will be issued partial refunds as determined by the Tournament Committee, after a reasonable amount has been deducted for incurred tournament costs. Protest The San Ramon Soccer Tournament Committee will accept no protest. Point System & Team Standings ·     Six points shall be awarded for each win ·     Three points shall be awarded for each tie ·     Zero points shall be awarded for each loss ·     One point will be awarded per goal up to a maximum of 3 goals ·     One point will be awarded for a shutout ·     One point will be deducted per goal after the maximum goal difference of FIVE goals. If a team in- group play forfeits, all scores in that group involving that team will revert to 1-0 scores. Points accumulated during Saturday’s games and Sunday morning games are to determine the seeding for the semi-finals. Groups of 6 Two brackets of 3 teams, each playing two games on Saturday, top two teams will play semi final as follows.              A  #1 V B #2- B #1 V A #2  Final winner A V winner B. Consolation will be A #3 V B #3. Groups of 5 Each team will play 4 games, The top team will be awarded first place with second place as finalists. Groups of 4 Each team plays each other once. The top two teams with the most points play again for 1st & 2nd place. Tiebreaker Five levels of tie-breaking will be employed to resolve ties in standings. ·     Head to Head competition; in case of a three way tie, head to head is never used and move directly to tie number 2 ·     Goal Differential, (goals scored minus goals allowed to a maximum differential of FOUR per game) ·     Goals allowed, maximum of four goals per game ·     Goals scored maximum of four goals per game ·     F.I.F.A. kicks from penalty spot ·     Semi Finals: straight to PKs (will there be any semi-finals) ·     Championship games tied after regulation will go to 5 minute over time with golden goal, if tied after this time period straight to PKs   Championship Awards Each first place team will receive a Championship trophy and each player on the first place team will receive a championship t-shirt. Each player on a second place team will receive a finalist medal. No medals or t-shirts are given to coaches or other team officials.
